Hotel Room, Here We Come
Gay prom? Goth prom? '80s prom? So many choices have been available to hot young people in recent years, each one tailored to a lifestyle. If you’d like to open it up beyond your fashion or whom you bed, indulge in the Mishap Prom. Are there sad accidents abounding at this event? The Web site refers to actual spikes in the punch, but we think they’re simply being colorful with language. “Mishap” turns out to be a bicoastal artists’ collective with an agenda to entertain and delight. Live bands (including one called Spandex Tiger), visual art, and DJ Adam Infanticide keep you stimulated through a series of events you may ultimately forget, if you’re doing it right. Drag out your taffeta and cummerbund, rent a white limo, and be glad life has handed you an “enchanting tropical paradise”–themed do-over.
